A readiness assessment will identify and prioritize which applications can be easily migrated, which may need to be redesigned or replaced, and which are better off remaining in house. After an initial consultation with key stakeholders, the Rahi team will assess applications across multiple characteristics, including cloud objectives, technical feasibility and risk, to determine the proper placement of apps and data.

For a basic cloud assessment, we’ll install virtualization inventory tools for data collection and analysis, review the inventory and cost analysis for both on-premises and cloud use cases, and provide an overview of those findings and suggestions for moving forward. A premium assessment also includes a two-day workshop to collect business, financial and technical requirements from key stakeholders.

The uncontrolled proliferation of cloud instances often results in wasted resources, unexpected costs and management complexity. Our planning process is designed to eliminate these challenges by helping teams understand how to use cloud resources effectively.
In our basic cloud plan, we identify a target workload to migrate or refactor, review requirements with stakeholders, and build a reference architecture for the new workload. We then create a project plan for migration or refactoring, along with a cost analysis report and design documentation. In our premium plan, we’ll also create maps of all application dependencies.

Migrating mission-critical apps and workloads can be tricky. During the implementation process, we work closely with customers to ensure proper networking and firewall requirements are in place. We also work with providers to ensure they can meet essential performance characteristics such as CPU consumption, transaction processing times, or throughput.
For a migration, we test the target environment for proper migration, verify logs and metrics are sent to the customer’s remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, and create a migration timeline. Post-migration, we provide a report that describes any remediation activities that may be required for future migrations.
