Rahi Announces Significant Corporate Appointments and Expansions in the US and APAC Region

Fremont, Calif. – February 24, 2022 – Rahi, a global IT solutions provider, announced two significant leadership updates and an expansion that will further advance the company’s strategic capabilities across the US, LATAM, and APAC regions. 

Global Expansions

Rahi is expanding its global footprint by increasing its Bay Area square footage by 150,000 square feet. The expansion includes an additional 20,000 square feet of space in Hayward, California, and 25,000 additional square feet in Fremont, California. 

The space in Hayward will be used for global logistics, warehousing, and inventory management, while the space in Fremont will be used for an advanced integration center. The integration center is purpose-built for hyperscalers and large enterprise customers looking to build high-density compute clusters, large-scale network environments, and storage environments. The space will deliver and handle complex hardware and software integrations, including complex hypervisor and containerized platform configurations and the ability to test two megawatts of test loads simultaneously. 

Corporate Appointments

Ron Borromeo joins Rahi as the Executive Vice President of Strategic IT Sales, and Paul Mason is promoted to the role of Vice President, Professional Services, APAC.

Ron Borromeo will lead initiatives that focus on cyber security, data center virtualization, advanced enterprise and cloud networking, and cloud solutions. These initiatives will strengthen Rahi’s engineering, solutions, and sales capabilities, and these combined changes will bring increased value to our clients.

Borromeo has worked in the technology industry for the past 30 years, most recently as Global Managing Director at Sycomp, Inc. Prior to Sycomp, Borromeo worked at World Wide Technologies, Inc. (WWT), where he was a catalyst in building out the West Region as well as helping transform and diversify the business to over $2.5 billion in revenue. Additionally, Borromeo was part of the team that built out Nexus IS, Inc., SBC Datacomm, Caspian Networks, Nokia, Amber Networks, Arcom Electronics, Cisco Systems, Inc. DHL, and United Parcel Service. Borromeo has been a proven business technologist in his past roles, credited with increasing innovation, revenue generation, and a wide variety of install bases of global and web enterprise, carrier and service providers, commercial, education, and healthcare organizations.

An internal promotion of Paul Mason to VP of Professional Services in APAC will expand Rahi’s presence across the APAC region to enhance its geographic coverage for professional services and time zone availability. With the 2022 goal of building out a global organization with consistency, quality, and customer-first principles, Mason brings his leadership talents in both pre-sales and post-sales to Rahi’s customers.

Based in the Philippines, Mason will lead the opening of a warehouse and new office headquarters. “For any who have had the opportunity to work with Paul over the past year, you’ll have seen his leadership skills in action. Whether working with sales teams on large-scale data center projects, ensuring proper services delivery, and even coordinating and building out new offices in the Philippines, Paul has been an outstanding contributor to the business,” said Matt Robinson, CTO at Rahi.
